Course Introduction Presentation Link

This project-based course will prepare students to step into the 21st Century with the entry-level knowledge necessary for creating websites and mobile applications. Students will learn web design techniques, how to create web pages using HTML, the process of creating a mobile application, and how to create basic mobile applications using the internet based software. The students will be introduced to the fundamentals of Dreamweaver (HTML Editor), Adobe Photoshop (Image Editing Software), and Adobe Imageready (Animation). No prior programming experience needed. (Front End Development)


TOPICS COVERED IN THIS COURSE:

  • WebSite Design (conception to inception)
  • Web Development – HTML (HyperText Markup Language)
  • An Introduction to Mobile App Development and the implementation process using an internet based software.
  • Introduction to Image Editing and Animation Software (Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe ImageReady)
  • Introduction to DreamWeaver, HTML Editing Software

GRADING:

Major Assessments – 70%

Minor Assessments – 30%

  • Classwork

It is the student’s responsibility to make up any work missed due to absenteeism.

All make-up work is to be completed within 1 week of the due date, after that a

grade of Zero will be recorded.


MATERIALS NEEDED FOR COURSE:

  • Folder
  • One subject notebook or journal
  • Any Additional Materials Required Will Be Discussed In Class.

Also, remember to handle lab equipment and materials responsibly. If you are unsure about the use of a piece of equipment please ask your teacher. In the event a piece of equipment is broken, it is up to the discretion of the administration as to the disciplinary actions that may be taken.
