Objective:

  • Students will be able to preview and identify good and bad web site design elements.
    • Language Objective: To complete the Website Design Comparison worksheet of web design elements

Essential Question:

  • Explain why web design should be a major part of the planning process of a website?

In order to get a better idea of what works and doesn’t work one must examine existing websites. Therefore, take a look at the following websites that share a common interest in content, but display their web pages differently.

While looking at these websites, keep some things in mind, for example:

  • Too many pictures/not enough
  • Crowded or spaced just right
  • Links/ too many, too few, they don’t work…
  • Navigation (moving around the screen)
